Cardboard Christmas ball (tutorial)

Christmas is coming! This is a family holiday that always brings us closer together. Preparing gifts together, installing a Christmas tree, decorating the house for the holiday… One of the options for jointly decorating the house could be creating such bright and beautiful Christmas tree decorations with your own hands!

For work we will need:

-colored cardboard
-stapler
-scissors
-round shape
-pen or pencil

Instead of colored cardboard, I took bright cardboard book covers (you can also take postcards).

Using a round shape, draw circles of the same diameter and cut them out.

One ball requires at least three circles, but the more, the more beautiful the ball. However, if the cardboard is thick, you shouldn’t make more than seven or eight edges.

Fold each circle in half.

Now take two circles and fasten their halves together by running a stapler along the edge.

On the reverse side it looks like this:

When you connect all the circles in this way, you will get an “accordion”.

So, the ball is almost ready! All that remains is connecting the first and last halves. Before doing this, attach a ribbon or string inside if you want to hang the ball.

If you make a lot of balls, you can make a garland out of them and decorate a wall.
