DIY CHRISTMAS CARD USING A SCRAPBOOKING TECHNIQUE
1. In front of you is a mock-up of a postcard. It must be printed on an A4 sheet. Or, if you have such an opportunity, print it immediately on thick cardboard so that it is already a blank.
2. If your printer is not designed for printing on thick cardboard, then cut out this layout, place it on top of a sheet of cardboard, and trace along the outline.
3. Then we cut out the workpiece strictly along the lines.
4. Our base will be made of scrap paper.
5. Let’s bend the workpiece correctly. If something doesn’t match, trim it at this stage with scissors.
6. Then we will cut out the wreath from the illustrated paper we prepared in advance.
7. Cut out, trying to leave as few white edges as possible.
8. Then take a stamp pad that matches the tone. And with its help, we will shade the edges of the wreath.
9. On the back side, we glue double-sided tape to the wreath.
10. Glue it approximately in the center of the card.
11. Let’s start cutting pieces of lace to the required length to decorate the roof.
12. Glue double-sided thin tape onto this lace.
13. Let’s glue it to the workpiece as follows.
14. Let’s take two contrasting color stamp pads – red and green (they will look harmonious with the postcard itself). Use them to shade the edges of the postcard..
15. Now let’s take a branch and glue it with tape or Moment “Crystal” glue to one of the sides of the roof.
16. We form a twig from the leaves, weaving a berry and a couple of flowers into them.
17. On the back side, glue double-sided tape onto several leaves.
18. And glue the twig, before that, we’ll apply a layer of glue to the place where the twig will be located – this will be more reliable.
19. Let’s prepare a wooden button and a paper lace.
20. Cut the ribbon to the required length.
21. Form a bow from the ribbon and temporarily pin it together using a sewing pin.
22. Take a thread and a needle and sew the middle – fasten it so that the bow will never come undone afterward.
23. Sew a button to the middle and tie a lace in it for beauty.
24. And glue this decoration to the bottom of the wreath.
This is such a cute, uncomplicated Christmas card we came up with. Good luck to you!
